LA FLash User Group Manger, Omar Gonzalez and his co-manager, Harald Koebler, will open the first user group session of the year. They will provide a brief overview of some planned changes to the website. This is also a good opportunity for the members of the user group to express any wishes, expectations or ideas for improving the organization.

Ensuring that the right language is in your contract has the potential of saving you from a financially and emotionally devastating lawsuit. At this session you will learn basic contract principles that can help drastically minimize your exposure when entering into software contracts. You will learn about specific laws that apply to software development and we will discuss specific examples of their application that are pertinent to you. Software licenses, significant contract provisions and remedies for breach of contract will also be discussed.
About the Presenter: The Law Office of Ellie Khabazian has been successful in obtaining favorable outcomes for clients in both mediation and trial. Ellie Khabazian earned her law degree from Brigham Young University and spent her final year of law school as a visiting student at UCLA. Ms. Khabazian obtained dual undergraduate degrees in French and Business Administration with an emphasis in Corporate Finance from USC. She also earned a diploma of Business French and Certificate of Professional French from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Paris. She is additionally proficient in Persian.
